Making PNG's
I will show you one way to make PNG's in Photoshop, but I'm sure you can do it another way aswell.
Step 1: First you have to find a suiting image. I have chosen this one: (click to enlarge)
Step 2: Zoom in on your photo with the Zoom tool, which looks like this: 
, then use the Polygonal Lasso Tool 
. Start clicking your way around the photo.
Step 3: When you're done clicking and back where you started, the marking will be compleeted. Go to File >> New and make a new transparent document with the same size as your PNG.
Step 4: Use the Move tool, which looks like this: 
, to drag the marked aera on to the transparent bakground.
Step 5: Save your image as a PNG and you're done! Here's my PNG:
