    Making PNG's

Main >> Tutorials >> Paint Shop Pro >> Making PNG's

Making PNG's is actually very easy! Follow this tutorial and you'll learn how it is done.

Step 1: Start by finding a picture you want to use. A picture where you can see almost the whole person is best. here's mine: (click to enlarge)

Step 2: Choose the Freehand Selection Tool, which looks like this: , change the settings so that it is Point to Point:

Step 3: Zoom in on the picture and start clicking your way around the whole person. Take your time, try to be carefull. You are alowed to cheat when it comes to the hair! Cut away the parts that doesn't look good and so on.

Step 4: Once you've marked all around the picture rightclick and the marking will be completed. Press Ctrl + C and then Ctrl + V. The person will now be pasted on a transparent background.

Step 5: Save the picture as a PNG-file. It is very important that you save it as a PNG-file. Here's my finished result: (click to enlarge)
