    Button

Main >> Tutorials >> Paint Shop Pro >> Button

Many people have asked me how I make my buttons. It is very easy, I will show you a simple way to do it in Paint Shop Pro.

Step 1: Find a picture you want to use and open it in Paint Shop Pro. (try to find a small picture, or resize it.) Here's the picture I'm going to use:

Step 2: Use the Crop tool, which looks like this: . And crop it so it looks like a big button, just choose a random size, but make sure it has the shape of a button. Here's my cropped picture:

Step 3: Now we have to resize it. Go to Image >> Resize. A button is 88x31px, so you have to get it in that size. if it is 90X31 (like mine was) you can just crop away 2 px from one side. Here's my button in the correct size:

Step 4: If you want a border around your button, just zoom in on the button, select the paint brush tool and paint a little border around it.

Step 5: Now use the text tool and add your sitename to the button. Use whatever font you want and choose a color that matches the button. I've choosen to add a pixeltext. (Here's the tutorial on pixel text). My button turned out like this:

Step 6: Upload the button to your site and paste the URL adress of the button in this code:
