History
The Site
In the beginning of 2006 I signed up for a piczo site.
It took a while to learn how everything worked. My piczo site; vejc.piczo.com was crap at first, but then I started to learn HTML.
I soon offered HTML codes to my visitors and I gave them tutorials so that they also could learn how to do different things. Suddenly my site had gotten very popular.
I never espected it to be popular at all. I also started to learn paint shop pro and began to make my own graphics and layouts.
I've always been interested in design and art. That's why I choose art study when I got the chance. Everything I learned at school has been such a great help when I make my layouts.
Soon piczo got too easy for me. I wanted to learn more. I signed up for a freewebs site, well actually, several freewebs sites; freewebs.com/vibbbe & freewebs.com/vibekee. I learned much more about HTML and CSS.
I figured it was time to get more serious. I looked up some great webhosts and finally desided to buy vejc-design.com.
The Name
The name was so hard to deside! I've always loved vejc. It is simple and it means something to me (Vibeke Elsker (loves) Jan Christopher). So I wanted to have www.vejc.com. But it was taken!? I still don't understand how it could be taken. It is something personal to me.
Maybe it means something else, I have no idea. Anyway, I had to choose something else, I came up with a long list of names, but none of them filled my standard. I then choose to go back to vejc and just add -design. I'm not 100% happy with the name, but atleast it's still a little personal to me.
